New Zealand and Saudi Arabia Establish Business Council to Boost Trade and Investment

Minister for Trade and Investment Todd McClay and Saudi Minister of Investment H. E. Dr Majid bin Abdullah Al-Kassabi signed a joint statement establishing the New Zealand–Saudi Arabia Business Council to enhance trade and investment between the two countries. Saudi Arabia, a top 20 export market for New Zealand with a significant economy, presents lucrative opportunities, especially with the upcoming free trade agreement with the Gulf Cooperation Council. The Business Council aims to support exporters, raise awareness of opportunities, strengthen relationships, and contribute to the government's goal of doubling exports in 10 years, ultimately creating more jobs and economic growth for New Zealand.
