SH2 Waioweka Gorge Reopens with Controlled Single-Lane Access from Feb 9

Crews continue clearing debris, improving drainage, and monitoring the vulnerable route, with convoys operating three times daily in each direction along the 37km stretch. Travelers are advised to only travel if necessary, allow extra time, and exercise extreme caution as the area remains an active worksite with possible short-notice closures.
