Auckland Downtown Carpark Redevelopment Approved for Fast-Track Skyscraper Project

Auckland’s Downtown Carpark redevelopment, approved through the Fast-track process, will transform the site into a mixed-use precinct featuring two skyscrapers, podium buildings, retail spaces, and a new laneway network, with measures in place to manage construction traffic impacts. This project, the 28th Fast-track approval, is expected to boost local economic and employment opportunities, supported by a partnership between Precinct Properties and Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei. The Fast-track process continues to facilitate numerous infrastructure, housing, and renewable energy projects across New Zealand, streamlining approvals with expert panels and targeted consent conditions.
